SANG WON LIU'S OBITUARY
Born in Seoul, Korea on July 9, 1925. Died on March 13, 2002, in Seal Beach, CA. She came to the U.S. in July 1948 on a scholarship
to attend graduate school at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon. She graduated with a Masters degree in Foods and
Nutrition in June 1950. She later did doctoral work at Kansas State University. Her husband, Louie Liu, also attended Oregon
State University where they met in Organic Chemistry Class during the Summer of 1949. He passed away on June 20, 2001.
She is survived by her four children and eight grandchildren. Gloria Liu, Los Angeles, David Liu, Chicago; Daniel Liu and
Patty McKenna both of Los Angeles. She moved to Seal Beach in February to live with her son, Daniel Liu. She had previously
lived in Federal Way, Washington for 20 years. Memorial Services will be held at Chinese Presbyterian Church of Orange County,
14614 Magnolia Street, Westminister, CA 92683 on Saturday, March 23 at 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested

She will be remembered for her wisdom and acts of kindness, which she showed to everyone.
After 20 years in Federal Way, Sang Won decided to move to sunny Southern California to be with three of her children.
